Hiking

I'm a little disheartened in our house search in Bozeman. We're still homeless (thank goodness for fabulous people who let us stay at their houses). So to distract myself from the pain of not having a place to live, I will recap our weekend in pictures. We went on two different hikes and they both were beautiful. On Saturday, we were at the Indian Ridge Trail. On Sunday, we stayed closer to Bozeman and hiked the Sypes Canyon Trail. We also had a cute hiking partner with us too.

Meet Jasper. We had the pleasure of watching him yesterday. He came on our adventure with us. He really enjoyed himself. He especially loved when we got high enough and there was still snow. He burrowed in the snow to cool off. Isn't he adorable?

With the craziness of packing and moving, I didn't snap too many pictures. I'm hoping to once we get settled into a house. It's been a little hectic so far. But to hold you over, here a few photos that I captured. Sorry, they aren't too thrilling. 

While packing up our old house, Luna was locked in the bathroom. She seemed to think the sink was the best place to relax. silly cat.

Our massive u-hual. Luckily, we had Joel's brother to drive it so Joel and I were able to drive our cars over. We had quite the caravan.

Luna was an excellent traveler. Her kennel took up most of my Mini but she slept most the trip and refrained from using the box too much to save my nose.

We made it to Bozeman! There's mountains from every direction. Everywhere you look there are gorgeous, snow capped mountains.

This weekend we packed up our house in Portland, Oregon and made the 750 mile journey to Bozeman, Montana. It's my first time in Montana. It sure is beautiful here. There are mountains, mountains and more mountains all around us. I've already consumed delicious local micro brews and hamburgers galore. This could be dangerous. Joel and I are on a lookout for the perfect place to call home in this lovely state. The next couple weeks might be light on postings as we search for a home and get settled in. Wish us luck in our search.

2. There are roughly 37,000 people living in Bozeman.

3. Bozeman is located at an altitude of 4,820 feet 

4. Yellowstone National Park is 93 miles to the south of Bozeman.

5. Bozeman is home to Montana State University. 

Audio Book

Our boxes are slowly closing in on us. We've finally started packing for our upcoming move next weekend. I've got the whole house to pack up and the essentials in a suitcase that I'll be living out of. Hopefully, we'll be able to find a place very soon once we're in Bozeman. Cross your fingers for us. I need your suggestions for excellent books though. I need a delightful audio book for my trek out to the mountains. I need to tune out the cries coming from my cat. What would you recommend?
