Golden Globes Style Winners

Now that the Golden Globes are long over, what did you think about the style? I was rather impressed this year. There were lots of wonderful dresses and styling. Luckily, there weren't any major eyesores. These are my favorite looks from the Golden Globes 2013. Now let's see what the Oscar will bring? What were you favorite styles from this past weekend?

Did you all love the Oscar's last night? I was surprised by some of the winners but I really enjoyed the show overall. The fashion was pretty good but I still feel like it could have been better. Here are some of my favorites from the night though....

Hollywood Glam - Friday's Fancies

This upcoming Sunday are the Academy Awards. Will you be watching? I'll be gathering with some friends and playing some Oscar Bingo. I'm looking forward to all the red carpet fashion. This week's Friday Fancies on {long distance loving} is all about Hollywood Glam in preparation for the awards these weekend. I went with a fun, graphic Lanvin dress. The green would look great on top of the red carpet and with my red hair....naturally, I'm imaging that I get to wear this on the red carpet.

To begin.....I love Ann Hathaway. I think she is just darling and many other wonderful adjectives. She was hands down the best dressed at the Golden Globes this past Sunday. No question about it. I picked her as the winner even before I saw the back of her dress. I am in love with it. I can't wait to see her host the Oscars (with the fabulous James Franco too). I am not going to swoon over her dress some more. Oh, and January Jones and Angelina Jolie come in second and third. Clearly, Michelle Williams comes in with the worst dress of the night (so upsetting because she is so cute normally)

I love my hair (it gets lots of compliments and I love it).

Oscar Fashion time. There were some dresses that I loved from last night. Overall, nothing too spectacular though. And did anyone else noticed that almost every male was wearing a bow tie?

Miley Cyrus and mom Trish

I cannot stand Miley Cyrus. However, I did love her dress. She needed to stand with her shoulders back and her mom needs to step away from the sun and hair dye.

Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard

The color of her dress is unbelievable. And Peter was fabulous in An Education.

Tina Fey.

Perfect. And so much better than her awful Golden Globe dress.

Rachel McAdams

She is always fabulous. I love the watercolor look to this dress.

Gabourey Sidibe

The color was gorgeous and it fit her so well. I just adore her. She has so much confidence and is so funny. She said, "if this dress was porn, it would be the money shot".

Carey Mulligan (in Prada)

I thought this dress was so much fun. The keys were so unusual. I wish the length would have been all the same though.

Sandra Bullock

I absolutely loved her dress. One of my favorites.

I was right...

I am so thrilled that The Hurt Locker won Best Picture at the Academy Awards tonight! I predicted it would win. It seriously was a wonderful movie!

Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter from Dexter.

Love Dexter. Love them together. Love her dress.

So happy he won Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series for Dexter. (also, I got my whole family addicted to Dexter. Seriously, it is the best show ever).

Glee Cast with their awards for outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. I seriously, cannot wait till Glee is back on again.

The most stylish couple. Her dress is stunning. And such a hard color to pull off too.

To be perfectly honest, no one blew me away yesterday. There were a lot of pretty dresses but nothing was a "can't take your eyes off stunning".

Taylor Swift is too adorable. I absolutely LOVE her dress from last night CMA awards. She won all four awards she was nominated, including the entertainer of the year award.

I didn't actually watch the Emmys but I still have an opinion on everyone's style! I felt overall there weren't too many amazing dresses. I don't know about you, but I wasn't super impressed with that many dresses this year at the SAG awards. I liked a lot but there were very few that I loved.

Golden Globes Fashion

Drew Barrymore. She is wonderful. I love this smokey blue with a red clutch. And some crazy, wild hair is always fun. 

I mean how can you not love Kate Winslet? A classic yet glamorous black dress. So chic. 

Freida Pinto. She is trying the mimosa color of 2009. And she was in Slumdog Millionaire which I absolutely adored and am please it took home all of their awards. 

Oliva Wilde. This is girly and flirty. And subtle lilac is wonderful. She is also wonderful in House which I love. 

So I might be a bit bias when it comes to some that I love but it's my own opinion damn it. I am sure a missed a handful of amazing ones. There were surprisingly a lot of well dressed people last night! Who were your favorites?
