I already mentioned how I dislike the laundry mat but it definitely took a turn downhill today and then surprisingly bounced back. I was sitting there (uncomfortable, of course) reading my new issue of Domino and in walks-in my old roommate's ex boyfriend. I was and still am not a fan of this kid. He treated her like absolute shit and is the most cocky person I have ever met. Conveniently, we are both aware of our dislike for one another and always remain civil but prompt when we must interact. But he said something that surprising made my grin with pleasure. He turn and asked if I had ever been to New York.......and the answer is incredibly and sadly NO (how can I make it to Paris twice and not to New York? Don't even get me started). Anyways, I was intrigued and asked why he was curious. And then he said, "well you dress like you are from there and with it being a fashion city and all." I know, people can surprise you! A compliment! So we carried on a polite convo about graduation and what not and then I left with a better opinion of him....even if only for a slight while.
