Home

Carrie and Danielle's daily question today was a wonderful, thought provoking one indeed. It asked: "Your Dream Home; Where Is It and Why?"

I am curious what you all have to say.

Mine would be a flat in Paris along the Seine river with a gorgeous view of the city. With historical architecture features and an abundant amount of natural sunlight filtering into the whole flat. There is an air about Paris that is so captivating and it would be inspiring to live within it.

Carrie & Danielle

This is a really great exercise (below) that I got from Carrie & Danielle's (http://www.carrieanddanielle.com/) website. It is from their Friday Focus. I highly advise you check out their website and look into setting up an appointment to find your Style Statement (two style words that describe and define you)...or buy their newly released book.

What Attracts You?

"Pay attention to what attracts you. One of the most powerful questions you can ask is: What am I drawn to? – C &D’s Manifesto of Style

What makes you grin? Which colors make you feel up, or make you feel flat? What do you crave? What mysteries would you like to solve? And why?

Plenty of people are inspirationally challenged -- not sure of what lights their fire, and wouldn’t know where to begin to name their favorite this or that. Others are so selective about what floats their boat that not much new can get past their preferences. Whether you’re confused or particular, curiosity is a terrifically enriching quality.

This week: write down three things, concepts, or subjects (not people) that you feel attracted to…the color red, bookstores, vanilla, fast cars, democracy. And ask yourself what’s so interesting, or soothing, or sexy about the things that you gravitate towards? Go with the first thing that enters your mind, no matter how silly or grandiose it may seem.

Being aware of not only what we are attracted to, but why we’re attracted to it, gives us access to the most tender and creative places within ourselves. "
