2011 Color

Pantone just released their pick for 2011 Color of the Year. The award goes to the lovely color of honeysuckle. Here is what Pantone had to say about their color selection:
"A dynamic reddish pink, Honeysuckle is encouraging and uplifting. It elevates our psyche beyond escape, instilling the confidence, courage and spirit to meet the exhaustive challenges that have become part of everyday life." (via)

Pantone 2009 Color

Wow. Bright! Mimosa is the color of 2009. get ready. 

and I quote "Mimosa, a warm engaging yellow, brings hope and optimism during a time of economic uncertainty and political change. Inspired by the Mimosa tree and the sparkle of the renowned cocktail, the 2009 color of the year represents the hopeful and radiant characteristics associated with the color yellow."
