I was lucky enough to join my boyfriend's family in Puerto Rico recently. It was a great mini vacation of sun and relaxation. Now I'm busy at work and back in the Montana cold. But we're counting down the days until Aruba in April. wahoo.

East Coast Dreaming
We arrived back to Montana yesterday after a long day traveling back from Maine. I can't believe how fast our vacation went by. I wish we could have stayed a little longer but it was still a fabulous trip. Maine is such a fantastic place and staying with joel's family is always enjoyable. I can't wait for our net trip back there! Here a few pictures that I captured while on the east coast. Enjoy!
We went sailing for the 4th of July. The weather was pleasant right up until we docked the boat to get find some dinner.

Joel & I out on the water. Yep, my shirt has sail boats on it.
Right outside the back door was the lake.
Two good looking boys.
Lots of cute puppies.
Matching yellow rain jackets. It started to down pour so it was lucky these were on the boat. I broke my sandals while running in the rain...I still got soaked. But the lightening was beautiful.

The lovely sailboat, Maia Majesta.
Kayaking on the lake with Roxanne.

Beach Chic - Friday's Fancies
In honor of our trip to Maine next week, I've decided on this adorable sailboat swimsuit for my "Beach Chic" look for this Friday's Fancies. I'm excited that it's finally summer and it's warm enough to even wear a swimsuit. I'll take mine to the lake or river in Montana though. I can't wait to wrap up another work week and celebrate the weekend with my family. We're taking a quick trip to Seattle this weekend. What do you have in store for the weekend? Hopefully something fabulous.

Summer Travel
I'm pretty excited for our upcoming travel plans this summer. We'll be heading back to Portland for our good friend's wedding (I'll be wearing this dress). We're taking a 3-day weekend to soak in the city that we left behind and catch up with all our friends. And weddings are always a blast. The following weekend, we are heading back to Seattle to visit ALL of my family. Hectic weekend there. And lastly, we're heading to Maine to visit Joel's family over the forth. You better believe we'll be having a blast like last year. During our weekends back home, we will be enjoying all the beauty that Montana has to offer. Where are you traveling this summer?

Colorado
Our long weekend consisted of Boulder and Denver, Colorado. It was sunny and beautiful all weekend. It made up for the 10 hour drive. What did you do to enjoy your holiday weekend?

Memorial Day - Friday's Fancies
I'm pretty excited about this long weekend that is almost upon us! Joel and I have just decided to head to Colorado. Boulder and Denver, here we come. We have nothing planned out and it's completely spontaneous but I'm super excited. I've never been. And as an added bonus, the weather will be rather pleasant unlike the rain/snow that's in store for Bozeman, MT this weekend. I'm going to catch some rays. What are your plans this weekend?!
Of course, join up with us on Long Distance Loving for Friday's Fancies.

Surprise!
I spent this past extended weekend in New York City. Yep, we disappeared from the gross Portland rain and enjoy the amazing weather in NYC! We jetted across county to surprise Joel's Dad for his birthday (Happy Birthday, Michael)! The surprise was a smashing success. We had a such a fantastic weekend! We saw three shows (Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Mamma Mia, and Memphis), ate lots of tasty food, walked around the city, took in a museum and had an all around good time. I'm so happy I had the pleasure of joining in on the birthday festivities in NYC. It was a perfect getaway.
We manged to fly into Philadelphia and see one of dearest friends too before heading to NYC!

We stayed at the very swanky, Royalton Hotel. It was serious beautiful and I highly recommend staying there! We even scored a balcony with a view of the Chrysler Building. Also, take a minute to enjoy a drink at the bar, Forty Four, and order the Ginger Julep. Delicious.
I'm ready to head back again.

Camping Time
Camping sounds like a beautiful idea. My friends is definitely an outdoor person. I'm working on it. We've decided we need to go camping as soon as possible before the summer slips by us. I am looking forward to a little mini getaway into the beautiful Oregon forests.

Maine
I've journeyed from one Portland to the other. My boyfriend and I spent the last weekend in his hometown in rural Maine. It was so much fun to experience a slower pace, relax and spend time with the family. Maine was spectacular and I can't wait to go back again. Like always, I failed at taking pictures (sorry Mary). I did capture a few below but I didn't get any of my delicious lobster or when we were sailing. It's probably because I was busy stuffing my face and feeling a little sea sick. Enjoy the few blackberry photos I did capture.
