back at the coast

We headed to the coast a few weekends ago for the annual Seafood and Wine festival. Awesome, right? Yeah, it was pretty fun. Here are a few pictures to recap our lovely time on the coast. I am always up for seafood, wine, board games, pancakes in the morning, walks on the beach and good friends!
The girls.
(I had to drive home early the second day. no wine that day. boo)
The boys.
Joel decided to walk out on the ledge. Makes a sweet picture.
I was excited to climb the rock.
a cheesy band picture?

Thanks to Andrew for providing the pictures!

Where did you come from?

I was looking around on my computer and came across this glorious photo! I love this studio. It is perfect use of such a tight space. Wonderful mid-century modern pieces. The only problem is that I don't know where this picture came from. ahhh. Anyone have any ideas?
not sure of the source. please notify if you do.

*update. The wonderful Mrs. Petersen found me the source.

I am so excited to be jet-setting this weekend! I can't wait to relax in the sun and get away from gray skies and stress in Portland. Here is a little fashion inspiration for my trip. I have all the main fashion essentials minus a maxi dress. I can't decide if I should rock one or not. Oh, the little challenges in life. So maxi dress or not? Tell me your thoughts.

Tomorrow

Tomorrow is my official Stella & Dot Launch Party! I am super excited about this. I already made my first sale for my launch online! You can attend the party virtually too. Just go to my website and click can't attend trunk show type in "Megan" and anything you purchase supports my launch. And I will love you forever. But my only wish for my launch is that my baby comes home! Luna is still somewhere outside in scary Portland. Poor Luna.

Luna

I need all the positive & happy thoughts out there to bring my baby cat back home to me! She was sitting on the ledge of my window last night and I didn't see her and went to shut the window. She got scared and jumped outside. I went to rescue her but she was so terrified that she ran away. Now I can't find my Luna. I need you all to envision her returning home to me. Maybe cross your fingers too. Thank you!
isn't she so cute and fluffy? I want to vacuum her fur everyday again.

Kelley Maria

Today our guest post is from the insanely sweet and beautiful Kelley. It is a special day for her as well because it is her birthday. So jump on over to her blog, Kelley Maria and wish her lots of birthday love. I am thrilled that Kelley is participating in my series, Three Things That Make You Smile. I definitely smiled with her three things as well. So enjoy...
1.) Cozy Corner
There is nothing more comforting than a quiet, cozy corner next to a blazing fireplace where you can curl up with a blanket, lean against a pillow and read a good book. That makes me smile

2.) Cinque Terre
I realize that this is a place, not a thing. However, it is all of the little “things” about Cinque Terre, Italy that make me smile. The colorful buildings stacked high upon one another. The glittering aqua blue water. The old men perched on park benches awaiting the arrival of the train that dozens of tourists will pour out of, gazing up and around in awe of this place that looks like a movie set.

3.) Dancing
Moving freely about to the beat of a great song and not caring that you might look like a total dork.

Thank you Kelley. I am dying to go to Cinque Terre.
Have a very lovely birthday too!

get around

I currently have been loving the look of banquette seating. I love seeing the look in very traditional spaces along side modern spaces. It is definitely an awesome seating option that can be translated into many designs. Enjoy some of the looks.

Bib

I am in love with this tunic. It's so simple that it can be paired with elaborate jewelry or a beautiful scarf. Not to mention it looks comfy. I'll take one.

Buy it here.

oh, lucy

I get so inspired when I see fabulous fashion blogs. I just found yet another wonderful one this morning...Lucy Laucht. This girl pulls of effortless style with layers. I wish I had more energy this morning to wear something stinkin' adorable. But nope, today I am too lazy to even do my hair. Oh, my. Tomorrow I will try and pull off a cute "Lucy" look.
