Less Pink

I am mentally preparing myself to remove some pink from my life. I need to start looking into more clean lines, modern and less frilly design. I am very excited about this new grown up and sophisticated look I'm trying to achieve. These two bedroom from Lonny Magazine are my jumping point for this new transition.

I currently have been loving the look of banquette seating. I love seeing the look in very traditional spaces along side modern spaces. It is definitely an awesome seating option that can be translated into many designs. Enjoy some of the looks.

Cove Street

way to start the week

I love getting that email that tells me that Lonny is live today. Here are some of my favorites from the current issue. The photos are from just two houses.

Love all the bold graphics, blue sofa, awesome rug, glass coffee table and photo gallery wall.

I spy a Bertoia and lucite chairs holding books, awesome striped dining chairs, and pedestal table.

Large tufted ottoman, ikat chairs/pillows, garden stool as a side table, Asian orange vase and awesome built-ins.

Faux bamboo chair, beautiful printed roman shade fabric, orange chair, green pillow.

Simple white bedding, monogram pillows, tufted side chair, sweet bench and cool graphic draperies on the French doors.

It is starting to feel like the holidays. White flakes starting falling from the sky today. An excellent excuse to curl up by the fireplace (or maybe the heater in my case).

Do you all have red throughout your home?

I personally love the color red.

At my next home (yes, I did just move into my current one. forward thinking) I want to make it more masculine and not all girly. It will still be very glamourous and stylish but with a dose of stronger lines, deeper tones, richer textures, and less pink.

I love this room. See that romantic mirror, beautiful orange bedding and oh so much fun fur pillows.

clean and simple. Lovely headboard. Maybe a little too simple for my tastes though.

Love the wallpaper and gallery wall above the bed.

Exposed brick walls, wonderful ethnic rug, and wood.

So many fun colors! This might be border line girly but so much fun.

Again fur throw and deep walls and textured pillows. I also have a very similar lamp.

Design

I am dreaming of the day when my design office looks just as wonderful as Betsy Burnham's design office. I absolutely love all the details in this space. I could even live in such a wonderful office!
