I'm pretty giddy for this weekend. Yes, it's still early in the week and we aren't even close to the Wednesday hump. But hello, the boy is deejaying our friend's wedding this weekend. So clearly I'm excited. I've been able to get a sneak peak and let me tell you.....people are going to be rocking out and having a blast. There is a serious art form to deejaying that I can't even begin to grasp. The boy has talent. And not to mention this will be his first public appearance in the past couple years and my first time to see him dj outside the house. wahoo. Oh, and to top the weekend off...we're stopping by my parent's new house and get to see my family. Now you see why I'm counting down the hours till the weekend.

Sunday Night

Joel had to head out of town on Sunday this week for work. So it left me and Luna alone to relax. And that we did just that (yes, Luna is my cat. don't judge). We watched the season finales of True Blood and The Newsroom (did you guys see them, thoughts!). We also managed to browse some online shopping. No purchases have been made yet. But I'm a pro at creating a million wishlists so we'll see if I get around to buying any of the items. Here are just a few things that I want to arrive on my doorstep. Yes, there are some fabulous designer knock-offs here (hey, I'm a girl on a budget). Oh, and there is a photo of cookies....they looked tasty and one sounds pretty good right now.

Labor Day Weekend

Today I'm making lists of what we'll need next weekend. We're heading to WA to see Dave Matthews Band. It will be Joel's first time at the Gorge Amphitheater. I can't wait! Wahoo for long weekends.

Color Block - Friday's Fancies

Hooray for Friday. I'm especially excited for the weekend since we're headed back to Portland. So goodbye, mountains and sun and hello, rain. To kick off the weekend, I've got a colorful Friday's Fancies. Color Block is what's going on this week over on Long Distance Loving. I actually enjoy this trend. It's not ridiculous or over the top and is rather easy to pull off with what you already have in your closet. So here's to summer and the weekend. Hope yours is fabulous.

Colorado

Our long weekend consisted of Boulder and Denver, Colorado. It was sunny and beautiful all weekend. It made up for the 10 hour drive. What did you do to enjoy your holiday weekend?

My Saturday is going to consist of zumba, cleaning, and bowling. I know, I live a crazy life. But let's get serious....zumba and bowling are awesome. And well, cleaning and organizing is a current must in my household. I just need to figure out what to wear to bowling tonight. Yes, I did just say that. Style is important. Happy Saturday and I hope you have some fantastic plans today.

Snow Shoe

My boyfriend headed out this weekend for some snowboarding. So my good friend, Britni, and I decided to have our own snow adventure. We headed up to Mt. Hood and went snow shoeing! It actually snowed too. We really need more snow. It hasn't snowed much on the mountain.We packed our lunch and explored the woods. After our mini time in the snow, we got a drink at Timberline Lodge. It was an excellent day in the snow. Can't wait to do it again.

Relax

We're hanging out with our good friends, making homemade pizza, drinking wine, watching football, and my sister is stopping by tomorrow. A great weekend if you ask me. Just an important tidbit: you should listen to the Mayer Hawthorne station on Pandora. Totally awesome!

Taylor Lake

This past long weekend, we spent one night in Sunriver, Oregon. It was a fabulous time spent with friends, riding bikes, drinking, and enjoying Central Oregon.

We then ventured off into the woods to go camping one night. I took the following pictures of our camping adventure to prove that I can indeed camp. I'm outdoorsy.

Part of our drive in. This is a typical drive in for Joel during his work week. Glad we took his truck.

After a bit of a drive, we found a sweet little spot next to Taylor Lake. We cut back some bushes, made the ground even and set up our tent.

We had bacon, blue-cheese burgers, potatoes and baked beans.

Enjoyed some Sessions beer on the lake.

Of course, we had to drink some whiskey and coke too.

A fire to keep us warm. And to make s'mores too!

This is right outside our tent. This is the log I fell off in the morning while cleaning the dishes. I might not be the must graceful person.

Our final goodbye before we packed up and heading back out.

I made it out alive with only a few scratches and lots of bug bites. One mosquito bit my eyelid which decided to swell up. Not cool but beside that we had a blast camping.

Loving Weekend

I love the weekends! Well, who doesn't love the weekends? What's on your agenda this weekend? I'm spending quality time with boy, checking out the Street of Dreams, Timbers game, and a lovely Stella & Dot trunk show to round out the weekend. Oh, and all of this while enjoying the sun! Sounds perfect.

Happy weekend.

1. This weekend I'm going to a house warming part, a couple graduation parties (congrats), going to the Timber's game and spending time with my favorite boy, Joel.

2. My last vacation was to San Francisco with Joel. It was a beautiful and fantastic long weekend.

3. My next vacation will be traveling to Maine! I am extra giddy now that this vacation is right around the corner. I can't wait!

4. My favorite way to relax is sitting around with some friends with my feet up and listening to some good music in the background. Oh, and a delicious beverage and snack always helps.

5. When vacationing one should always smile. You're on vacation!

6. When vacationing one should never feel bad for being on vacation. Embrace it.

7. The best part about a vacation is experiencing something out of the ordinary.
