Livingston Town Proper

This time tomorrow, I'll be listening to the sounds of John Mayer, Zac Brown and Clay Cook of Zac Brown Band, David Ryan Harris, Sean Hurley, Aaron Sterling, and other special guests. Yeah, I'm pretty excited! The best part is that it is here in Bozeman, MT. It is going to be fantastic. I'm going thanks to my wonderful boyfriend who managed to snag me a ticket for Christmas!

Update:
The concert was fabulous! John Mayer sang live for the first time in ten months. Such a treat!! And Zac Brown is amazing live. I highly recommend checking Zac Brown Band out, if you haven't already.  Here are some photos of the concert last night.

I am still here!

Yes, I did make it make from my amazing Labor Day weekend. Hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend as well.
I spent three nights watching slash listening slash dancing to this...
and enjoying three days of this...
at late hours of the night...
My view across the table all weekend....Hello, fellow ginger. (nope, not related)
and drinking lots of wine...
and more wine...
and yep, even more wine....
A very wonderful weekend indeed. Glad I had my blackberry around to snap a few pictures. Hope you enjoyed the visual recap!

Start the countdown

You will be able to find me at one of the most epic locations for the next two weekends. Yep, I will at the Gorge Amphitheatre for the following two weekends. Hello, John Mayer with Keith Urban featuring the Avett Brothers. And then three full days of Dave Matthews Band. I am one lucky girl! Less than a week away. Oh, it makes me giddy.

add it to the list...

I have decided that I MUST see a concert at Red Rocks Amphitheater. It just looks too stunning to pass up. This venue would definitely make a concert better.

Lawn

One of my favorite parts of summer are all the outdoor concerts! I am seeing John Mayer/Keith Urban and Dave Matthews Band all at the Gorge. And before them I am going to see the incredible Jamie Cullum! The best part...it's at the Oregon Zoo. Yippee. I am going to visit the elephants, tigers and monkeys before sitting down on the lawn with my wine rocking out to some great music. I can't wait. It is going to be spectacular!

Music Tuesday

Tony Lucca is a wonderful musician and an incredibly nice guy. He opened for Tyrone Wells (who you should also be listening too)! My friend and I sold merchandise for their Portland concert last week. Also note that Tony Lucca is much better looking than his album cover leads you to believe. Buy his album here.

John Butler Trio's new album, April Uprising, came out today! It is hard to describe their sound but one said they are an "eclectic roots/jam band" which seems pretty accurate. They are hugely popular in Australia. Buy their album here. (itunes has it for a couple dollars more for 3 bonus tracks). They are on tour as well. Check out their dates here.

Jack Johnson's new single, You and Your Heart. I love Jack Johnson. He the best with the car windows down and the sun hitting your face. His new album, To The Sea, comes out June 6th. He is going on tour this summer. Check it out here. Buy his single here.

Minus the Bear. Their album, Omni, comes out May 4th. Start the countdown! And then buy it here when the time comes.

Hope you found something new to listen to! Feel free to give me suggestions of new musicians as well. I love new music!

Two Things You Must Know

1. Jamie Cullum is fantastic live! I highly recommend seeing him in concert if you ever get a chance. He has so much energy and is incredibly talented and entertaining. He played for over two hours last night. Go see him and you won't be disappointed.

2. You need to see a concert at the Crystal Ballroom. It is an awesome space and definitely has the Portland vibe. You get delicous McMenamins beer too. And there is the "floating" dance floor. Really cool when everything jumps. Check it out sometime.

Music Time

I have a music obsession. I sadly have no musical talents but I definitely appreciate other's talents. I love exploring new artists (always up for suggestions.) I also enjoy passing on my new music finds to other people. So here you go (click on their names to explore more about them)....

Josh Hoge. I have been listening to Josh's brother, Will Hoge, for years now. I was very excited when I found out that Will had a younger brother. They are both very talented. Defiantly runs in the family. Check out 360 and Beautiful Distraction.
V.V. Brown. She is British and kicks ass. I posted one of her music videos a bit ago (here). I recommend her song Everybody. She is also incredibly pretty. She is coming to Portland next month. Tickets are super cheap so definitely look up her tour to see if she is coming to a city near you.
Brandon Chandler. Yeah, good looking...I know. And he has a fabulous and unique voice. And he is from Portland. I always love local artists. I just discovered him and am liking what I hear (and see). I am loving the songs Give Me Some Time, Give It Up, and
Until the Whiskey Wears Off. Okay, all the songs are wonderful.
Jamie Cullum. I absolutely adore this British jazz-pop singer. I am crossing my fingers that I will be able to make it to his concert in a week. You probably have heard of him because he is fantastic. If not, go listen now. Listen to All At Sea and Wheels. Oh, or his cover of High & Dry.
Okay, that is it for now. Hopefully you found something new that you enjoyed. Seriously, take the time to listen to them. They are all definitely worth it. Let me know if you have any new music suggestions for me. Thanks.

One Eskimo - Kandi

Okay, Youtube is officially pissing me off. So you should go HERE and watch the video from One Eskimo. My friend and I saw them yesterday at an in-store performance and they were wonderful live. And they were super nice and British.

Bon Iver - Skinny Love

This cute boy just recently introduced me to Bon Iver. I am currently loving this song, "Skinny Love", and "Re:Stacks" off the For Emma, Forever Ago album. Check out their music. You won't be disappointed.

Gig Posters

One of my regrets...not buying the gig poster for all my Dave Matthews Band concerts. Stupid Megan. This summer I will be purchasing them though. I think gig posters are awesome. Check out some cool DMB ones.

Coachella

I think I am going to Coachella!!!! I hope, I hope, I hope. Corssing my fingers. The line-up is amazing and I need to get to the desert. I need sun and fantastic music!
Update: Sad news. I have decided to spend my money on going to 3 days of DMB instead. I am happy with decision but Coachella would have been so much fun. Another year...
