Black and White - Friday's Fancies

This week for Friday's Fancies, I've decided to go glam. Black and white with a punch of hot pink. What's not to love about it? It's probably a little out of some people's comfort zones but I think it's modest while being super sexy. Happy Friday!

Outfit Crushing - Friday's Fancies

I'm constantly crushing on Sydney from The Day Book Blog's outfits. She is just so adorable with awesome style. So this week on Long Distance Loving, we're creating outfits from other people's great fashion. I've tweaked Sydney's original look with a monochromatic skirt and a wine sweater. I'm also dying for these Sorel boots (size 6.5) so I incorporated them as well. You can't have too many Sorel boots, right? So that's my take, enjoy, and happy Friday.

Express Yourself - Friday's Fancies

Happy Friday! This week over at Long Distance Loving, we're showcasing our personal style. I've decided to go with my no-fail, Montana approved outfit. It's perfect when the temperatures start to drop but it's still darn stylish. Practical and fashionable...my Montana style motto. Enjoy your weekend. I think we're heading up to Big Sky to get some snowboarding in this weekend.
Wish me luck.

Road Trip - Friday's Fancies

Yes, for the weekend. For Friday's Fancies over at Long Distance Loving, we're styling up for a road trip. It's all about comfort while in a car for long times; but, you can still do better than sweats and a hoodie. This post is helping me mentally prepare as we head from Montana to DMB at the Gorge Amphitheater. wahoo. It's also making me long for distressed denim.

In Response To:

AV from Long Distance Loving just asked her readers if they'd pick a freestanding tub or a built-in tub. Well, I'm here to share my thoughts. I, with no doubts, would go for a freestanding tub. If you're not looking for a whirlpool system then you might as well get a tub that makes a statement...I mean it takes up enough room, it might as well look damn good while doing so. AV tends to lean to a more tradition side while I prefer the more modern, clean line look. But look at these tubs below. What's not to love? I will gladly take a Wetstyle or Victoria and Albert tub any day. So that's my opinion. Now what are your thoughts?

And you get to use a sweet freestanding or wall mount tub fill to go with your freestanding tub...double bonus. But if you choice to go with a built in tub, please go with an undermount tub with a slab deck....ahh.

To a T - Friday's Fancies

Hey kids, I've been pretty occupied watching the Olympics. I enjoy a little USA pride during these times. So this week's Friday's Fancies is all about t-shirts. So we're celebrating the end of the work week in Olympic style. I also recommend taking a minute to read this hilarious yet accurate article about America's very own Ryan Lochte. Enjoy. Go USA!

Euro Trip - Friday's Fancies

AV from Long Distance Loving is off on an adventure in Europe and we are joining her trip this week. Friday's Fancies is all about exploring Europe. I've created a stylish yet practical outfit for exploring. Perfect for the bustling cities or the relaxing country side. I want to pack my bags and hop on the next plan out of town. Instead I'll be enjoying Montana...but it's rather beautiful here too.

Pretty in Pastels - Friday's Fancies

Thank you, Long Distance Loving for giving me an excuse to take a break from packing to create this look for Friday's Fancies. I normally don't gravitate to pastels but this look has enough edge that it doesn't come off as too sweet. I've also decided that I could buy almost everything from Topshop (like this skirt). Well, back to packing. Have a fabulous weekend. Hope it is filled with love and sun.

Let's Fly Away - Friday's Fancies

Friday's Fancies on {long distance loving} this week is all about travel! I could use a vacation now. I'll take a bet that most people on today's Friday's Fancies will be dreaming about flying away to a warm destination. I will gladly join them. But you see, my boyfriend leaves tomorrow for a weekend of snowboarding at Big Sky, Montana. I'd love to hop in his suitcase and join him on a chilly getaway. I've created a stylish and very layered look that's perfect for any ski lodge. Oh, and those SOREL boots are the ones that should be arriving on my doorstep any day. There are on super sale right now on Zappos too. Happy Friday!

Mix and Match - Friday's Fancies

Mixing patterns can be rather intimidating. I still struggle with this concept when it comes to fashion. Due to owning a lack of patterned clothing. None the less, here is my fashion inspiration board for mixing and matching patterns. Yep, this weeks Friday's Fancies from {long distance loving} is all about the art of putting two things together that don't technically match. But who likes matchy-matchy anyways? Is there a matching police anyways?
Join us.

The easiest way to mix patterns is to start small. Think a floral blouse and a polka dot scarf. The other way is like my inspiration board. It is simple and monochromatic. The tonal looks makes it much easiest to put two patterns together. Soon you'll be daring and mixing and matching like a pro.
