Express Yourself - Friday's Fancies

Happy Friday! This week over at Long Distance Loving, we're showcasing our personal style. I've decided to go with my no-fail, Montana approved outfit. It's perfect when the temperatures start to drop but it's still darn stylish. Practical and fashionable...my Montana style motto. Enjoy your weekend. Snowboarding

I'm embracing this quote right now. Yes, my boyfriend and I will be moving to a state that I've never been to before. But I'm excited for that adventure. This quote works for my last happening. This past weekend, I tried snowboarding for the first time (finally). It was a beautiful spring day at Mt. Hood Meadows and I had the sexiest teacher on the slopes (yes, my lovely boyfriend). Let's just say it wasn't easy. I need a lot more practice and work. But it was a lot of fun even when my tailbone was screaming with pain. I'm really looking forward to next winter season to hone my skills. I'm still in that weary, fearful stage. I need to get out of comfort zone and just fall. Sooner or later, I'll be much better. Practice, practice, practice.

Let's Fly Away - Friday's Fancies

Friday's Fancies on {long distance loving} this week is all about travel! I could use a vacation now. I'll take a bet that most people on today's Friday's Fancies will be dreaming about flying away to a warm destination. I will gladly join them. But you see, my boyfriend leaves tomorrow for a weekend of snowboarding at Big Sky, Montana. I'd love to hop in his suitcase and join him on a chilly getaway. I've created a stylish and very layered look that's perfect for any ski lodge. Oh, and those SOREL boots are the ones that should be arriving on my doorstep any day.  My wonderful boyfriend is incredibly athletic. Today we participated in a 5k run in Portland. Oh, the boy finished in under 19 minutes. No big deal. He had to wait a little bit for me. He also is an avid snowboarder (and talented). I haven't attempted yet. It is on my to-do list still! We checked out US Outdoor store today where he tried on some new snowboarding boots. There is some awesome snowboarding gear. I figured I'd make two stylish snowboarding inspiration boards. I'm not too sure how excellent these products are but they sure look great together.
