Victory

Some ideas on Pinterest are better left as ideas. I'm not crafty so I know when something looks like it's going to end miserably. Luckily, there are some ideas on Pinterest that rock. Delia Creates came up with this simple Halloween decor. I proudly can say that I achieved my Pinterest goal. From Delia Creates, it's spider rings and magnets. I improvised and used duct tape and spider foil cutouts. It still gets the creeper spider look. What do you think? Did I nail it?

Wegner + Eames

I have a very strong love for mid-century chairs. To further my love, I've gathered a cluster of lovely Hans Wegner and some Eames chairs. Oh, I want these sooo bad. Look at the lines on these chairs.  They are so beautiful. Enjoy.

Wedding

Joel and I had the pleasure of attending our good friend's wedding back in Portland this past weekend. It was so much fun to head back to Portland to see all of our good friends and of course to dance the day away. I've also just been asked to be a bridesmaid in my friend's wedding next summer. I can't wait to celebrate their love next summer. So I've got weddings on my mind. Here are some inspirational photos that are speaking to me at the moment.
Beautiful wedding dresses. Love the lace and the layers.
Stunning men. I love the grey suit and the simple clean lines.
Mismatched bridesmaids dresses.
Of course, lovely blooms with lots of texture and layers.

denim + chambray

I'm really jazzed for warmer weather. I'm especially excited to wear some denim shorts and chambray shirts. Classic staples to any wardrobe. I like how the first two photos are mixed with black while the second photos are mixed with white. All simple options that are fashionable. Bring on the sun now.

Brick

I came across this kitchen a few days ago on Pinterest. Naturally, I pinned it but I love it so much that I wanted to share it with you all. I am a huge sucker for exposed brick walls. And hello, these walls also have amazing wine storage. In love. Now how does one get the wine down? The real question that I have for you, do you prefer natural or painted brick?

Or a painted white brick wall....

Natural or Painted?

Snowboarding

I'm embracing this quote right now. Yes, my boyfriend and I will be moving to a state that I've never been to before. But I'm excited for that adventure. This quote works for my last happening. This past weekend, I tried snowboarding for the first time (finally). It was a beautiful spring day at Mt. Hood Meadows and I had the sexiest teacher on the slopes (yes, my lovely boyfriend). Let's just say it wasn't easy. I need a lot more practice and work. But it was a lot of fun even when my tailbone was screaming with pain. I'm really looking forward to next winter season to hone my skills. I'm still in that weary, fearful stage. I need to get out of comfort zone and just fall. Sooner or later, I'll be much better. Practice, practice, practice.

What adventure have you taken lately that's been out of your comfort zone?

Florist

I've really in love with floral design. I'm really interested in taking classes, learning from talented florist and just experimenting with beautiful flowers. I love the organic, free-flowing bouquets with texture, color, and height. Oh, I really want to go to the flower market now.

Check out my floral board on pinterest for some more of my inspiration.

Test - No Heat Curl

I attempted a hair tutorial that I found on pinterest. The Paper Mama has an awesome photo and video tutorial of a "no heat curl" on her blog. Check it out here. It was super easy. Just rolled my hair up into a headband at night and took it up the next morning (in-depth directions here). The results were more of a beach wave than a curl but it still worked really well. I'm also use to curling my hair with hot rollers for major curls. I highly recommend you try it. Here are some photos of the night before and next day. Excuse my no-makeup look with my silly night before do.
have you tried the "no heat curl"?

Spring Colors

I came across this Vogue China cover today and it made me really excited for spring. I can't help but smile when I see the mint/teal and pastel pink color combo. I think I'd be adorable for my wardrobe or for a little baby girl's room (wink.wink Cristina). I decided to continue with my color love and bring you lots of spring goodies. So enjoy and starting bracing yourself for spring and pastels.

change

Our living room rug has seen better days. It's very old and dingy. Endless amount of vacuums and steam cleaning won't help it. I've been keeping an eye out for the perfect, new area rug. It's hard because rugs are pricey little buggers. Here is the look I'm hoping to get in our new rug (someday). Any suggestions on where to purchase quality but inexpensive rugs?

Subtle

I love color but every once in a while it's lovely to see a more subtle and muted look. It's so sweet and feminine. It's feels perfect for this Sunday. Enjoy.
