Mad For Plaid

I've slacking in blog posts. Forgive me but I *might* have fractured my wrist so typing is a little time consuming. Since it's Friday and I look foward to Friday's Fancies, I've decided it time for a new post.
I love plaid and tartan for the holidays. So for Friday's Fancies, I've thrown together a winter look that's warm, stylish, and festive. Enjoy!

Express Yourself - Friday's Fancies

Happy Friday! This week over at Long Distance Loving, we're showcasing our personal style. I've decided to go with my no-fail, Montana approved outfit. It's perfect when the temperatures start to drop but it's still darn stylish. Practical and fashionable...my Montana style motto. Enjoy your weekend. I think we're heading up to Big Sky to get some snowboarding in this weekend.
Wish me luck.

Bling

Sadly, I lost my delicate gold ring this weekend. Now I am eying all the beautiful gold rings out there. Lucky for me, there are a lot of stunners to pick between. If only they were all in my price range. Do you have a favorite below?

Bonfire Beauties - Friday's Fancies

Enjoying a bonfire in Autumn sounds lovely. However, it's already snowing in Bozeman so one must dress for winter if enjoying the outsides. But my Friday's Fancies is set in a milder climate. Still requires layering and getting cozy to step outside. So here's my take on a mild fall night, drinking some hot chocolate and gazing at the stars....with that someone you love by your side. Happy Friday! Enjoy your weekend. We will be taking in the white scenery here.

Curbless

If you are remodeling or building a new home, I urge you to go curbless. What am I talking about? The curb is that threshold between the shower area and rest of your bathroom. It is typically there to restrict the water from flowing into the rest of your bathroom (here is a typical shower with curb). You probably don't think much about the little edge. But think about getting old and having to step over that curb, or being in a wheelchair and being restricted by it, or how easy it is to trip over the barrier and hurt yourself. It's a safety concern and an unnecessary nuisance. So make your life easier and cleaner....go curbless. I recommend the ARC shower systems to achieve this look.

Find Your Place

Thanksgiving is fast approaching. I'm rather giddy about it too. It will be my first Thanksgiving in Maine! I've taken it upon myself to make the table festive. I haven't quite decided what I'll be doing but I plan on scavenging the outdoors for assistance. So yesterday, I started scheming and made some mock up table settings. We will see what I end up doing. But I've already printed off these awesome I am Thankful printables so I'll be ready. Get them too on Sissyprint. I like where my ideas are going though. Hopefully everyone will appreciate my festive table. We will see...

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone!I hope you're enjoying this festive day and eating lots of delicious candy. Are you dressing up for Halloween? I was Pebbles Flintstone this year! I am pretty proud of my $5 creation. My fake eyelashes cost more than my costume purchases. Enjoy your spooky evening and stay safe.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Ho Hey

Have you all heard The Lumineers' song Ho Hey? It's my current obsession. It's almost impossible not sing along at the top of your lungs. Take a listen and watch the music video. Here are just a big of the lyrics. Enjoy.

Drink of Choice

I've been eying a pair of copper mugs from Butte Copper Company. I'd be able to make perfect Moscow Mules at home! At I won't drink one out of a regular glass. For some reason, ever since moving to Montana, I've really enjoyed Moscow Mules. It's unusual because I typically stray away from vodka. But who can resist a delicious drink in a copper mug? How do you feel about Moscow Mules?

One of the Prettiest

I came across this photo shoot on Jose Villa's blog and it is just breathtaking. It's charming, classic and all sorts of beautiful.  I highly advise jumping over and looking at all the rest of the photos. Every single vendor involved nailed it.

Costume Prep - Friday's Fancies

When I was little, I dressed up for Minnie Mouse one Halloween/Birthday. For my birthday party we all went trick-or-treating and it rained on us. Thanks Pacific Northwest. But I remember I enjoyed my costume that year. So I'll be going as Minnie Mouse again this year. It's such an easy outfit to pull off and it's adorable. Now I just need to convince Joel to go as Mickey Mouse.
Find other costume ideas over at Long Distance Loving.

Dornbracht

My friend told me that I was a cat lady that's become a faucet lady. He's partly correct as I have become an awesome faucet lady. But I will always be a cat lady. Now I just need my cat to cuddle up to a beautiful faucet and all in the world would be right. But seriously, working in the fixtures and fittings department, I've come to greatly appreciate the craftsmanship and design behind faucets (and my other gems in the plumbing world). Dornbracht is the company that I would spend all my money on to have in my home. I mean, look at what they offer. The quality of their product cannot be surpassed either. Swooning. If you were designing your dream bathroom now, what faucet would you go with?

Henny and Ginger Ale

Mayer Hawthorne will be in PDX this weekend. These are the times I wish I was still living there to check out his concert. One downfall of living in MT....lack of live music. Well, bigger names' live music. You should check him out if you've never heard of him. He's great. He also is a pretty awsome DJ. Now that I've seen him do! Well, hope your Monday is going well. Enjoy some Henny and Ginger Ale.
