Road Trip - Friday's Fancies
Yes, for the weekend. For Friday's Fancies over at Long Distance Loving, we're styling up for a road trip. It's all about comfort while in a car for long times; but, you can still do better than sweats and a hoodie. This post is helping me mentally prepare as we head from Montana to DMB at the Gorge Amphitheater. wahoo. It's also making me long for distressed denim.

Stylebook
I am pretty pumped about the latest app for my iphone that I just downloaded. Meet the Stylebook app. If you're like me and LOVE Polyvore then Stylebook is totally for you. Or if you want to experiment with your wardrobe or like fashion then this app is for you too. Basically, it's awesome so go download it. So what is it, you ask? You are able to create outfits with your own clothes from your iphone. I've started the process of adding my clothing to the app and it's been super easy thus far. I'll show you some of my creations down the road. Check out the video. Enjoy.
backpack
I'm on the search for a cute backpack. It would function instead of a handbag and it would be ideal for certain outings where a handbag just gets in the way. Not to mention, backpacks are cute. So here are some that have caught my eye. Which one is your favorite?

Hurley
I love exploring creative work spaces. It's fascinating to see how companies design their headquarters. Since it's summer, it's only appropriate to head to Orange Country to check out the Hurley Campus. I personally love the bubble diagram door and the brightly colored lunch room. Never a dull day working at Hurley. Enjoy.

French Press Cafe
I was exploring The Noun Project and feel in love with this french press icon. It was a perfect starting point to design a coffee shop. So inspired by the simplistic design, I created this cafe design. The metal furniture pieces stick with the sleek, industrial look but the inviting shapes and hint of orange/red make this coffee shop inviting. I imagine a reclaimed wood cash wrap and a whole wall of windows. Yep, this little coffee shop is the perfect place to grab that quick caffeine fix. What are your thoughts? Would you grab some coffee at this French Press Cafe?
// pendants // table // stool // espresso machine // coffee bags // bar stool // icon // short mug // tall mug // shelf //
// floor plan //
I like how this floor plan allows for the same metal furniture to be used outside and inside and have the two spaces appear seamless with the whole window wall. The varied seating heights adds interests to the space as well.

Gingham Gorg - Friday's Fancies
This week's Friday's Fancies is all about Gingham print. Gingham might seem like a summer print but I've paired it with a muted, darker palette. I'm really looking forward to fall clothes and especially corduroys. It might be 90 degrees here but I'm preparing my fall wardrobe. Enjoy your weekend.

The Bridesmaid
Here's a little Tuesday wedding inspiration. If you note back to many of my other wedding blog posts, you'll recall that I prefer mismatched bridesmaid dresses. This is a scary thought for some people. So I've made it very simple. I've chosen three color palettes to showcase some fabulous bridesmaid dress options. The best is all the dresses are under $100. Yep, chic and affordable. What's not to love? So which color palette would you pick?

In Response To:
AV from Long Distance Loving just asked her readers if they'd pick a freestanding tub or a built-in tub. Well, I'm here to share my thoughts. I, with no doubts, would go for a freestanding tub. If you're not looking for a whirlpool system then you might as well get a tub that makes a statement...I mean it takes up enough room, it might as well look damn good while doing so. AV tends to lean to a more tradition side while I prefer the more modern, clean line look. But look at these tubs below. What's not to love? I will gladly take a Wetstyle or Victoria and Albert tub any day. So that's my opinion. Now what are your thoughts?

And you get to use a sweet freestanding or wall mount tub fill to go with your freestanding tub...double bonus. But if you choice to go with a built in tub, please go with an undermount tub with a slab deck....ahh.

To a T - Friday's Fancies
Hey kids, I've been pretty occupied watching the Olympics. I enjoy a little USA pride during these times. So this week's Friday's Fancies is all about t-shirts. So we're celebrating the end of the work week in Olympic style. I also recommend taking a minute to read this hilarious yet accurate article about America's very own Ryan Lochte. Enjoy. Go USA!
